Desert Thunder Amazes New Fans
Desert Thunder came out as a smashing success. With over 20 people
watching the live performance, Desert Thunder shocked and even enlightened those in attendance. The battlefield was one
of the most detailed in design and special effects went beyond anything Jenkins Productions has ever put together.
The battle started around 2:00pm on 7-7-07. Lasting almost 40 minutes,
the battle rang out across the neighborhood. Kenny, a resident in St. Joseph, MO says, "Fantastic. I liked it! First one I
attended and it was great. Would have been better with a picture of Bin Laden stuck in there somewhere."
Desert Thunder offered more involvment from the fans than any other show.
"The fans were great, they had energy and there love for the tradition is what made it a success." Says Brett Jenkins, Jenkins
Productions CEO. "Although the participation of so many people made it a little difficult for safety and control, I think
it was good to give those people a chance to be a part of something great. It will be forever a tale that they will tell their
grandchildren in years to come."
Donna, a resident of Denver, Colorado who came all the way to Missouri
for the show says, "That was pretty awesome. A Nebraska experience brought to Missouri, very neat!" Desert Thunder was recorded
live and will be available on DVD soon.
Now with Desert Thunder gone and passed, this next year will be packed
with new things from Jenkins Productions so stay posted!
This Year's Rebirthing
It has been a year of silence and like the condor rises from the ashes, Jenkins Productions will display again
their most glorious ceremony ever created. Saturday, July 7 Jenkins Productions will have their opening day for their new
Army Men War: Desert Thunder.
This year, the war will take place in St. Joseph, Missouri. The board chose this location for many reasons.
Brett Jenkins, spokesperson and CEO of Jenkins Productions says, "We thought St. Joe would be the best location for this year's
filming. It would bring about more fans, easier construction and layout possibilities and our crew would be able to assemble
there at the same time."
Some are in dismay of the breaking of the Jenkins Productions tradition. "Moving the war to St. Joe is one
thing," says Patti Belt, 68 year old citizen of Lincoln, Nebraska, "but to move it from July 4 to July 7 is just immoral!
My bingo gals are going to be so disappointed."
Although there are many changes in this year's war, Jenkins Productions believe their new production will
make up for the changes and fans will blown away with more action than ever before. For more information on time and location,
